The inaugural ceremony of Al Akhawayn University Rotaract Club was launched Through the Rotaract Seminar Training ( an initiative of the national coordination committee) in Ifrane. The seminar lasted two days offering trainings to the new rotaractors of AUI as well as Rotaractors of Morocco. On Saturday September 23, 2001, the district governor offered officially the chart of the club to the president of AUI Rotaract Mr. Jallal Charaf. the Ceremony was honored by the presence of the University president, Mr. Rachid BENMOKHTAR BENABDELLAH, the district governor, some Rotarians and Rotaractors from Morocco.
RC AUI aims at fostering leadership and responsible citizenship, encourages high ethical standards in business and promotes international understanding and peace. It conducts Health Awareness Days, Blood Drive and Tetanus campaigns, cultural activities, and social events and it is considered one of the active club at the university
Today, the club gathers about twenty active members and volunteers who with their participation and projects follow the goals of Rotaract.
